oh woe to me monetary assets

the city of new york decided to leave me another note. i saw it from afar, the half-folded orange envelope fluttering in the wind. my hair crazed and heels clicked frantically against the pavement as i ran towards the car and hoped that it wasn't. but that hope was quickly dashed and i cursed myself, "bahh, WHY?!?!"

$65 for parking on the left side of the street on a thursday between the hours of 8-930am. why does nyc feel it necessary to clean the streets every other day? is there some "i'm the cleanest city" reputation to uphold?

i hate you orange envelope. and the $65 means someone isn't getting a xmas gift. sorry, unanticipated budget reduction! blame the wretched city of new york and its clean streets.
