old people dying in their homes, subways sweltering hot, spotty electricity, heat waves rising from the pavement, cooling centers opening up. it's a hot hot 90+ degrees today.
meanwhile at work, i was on my way to becoming an icicle. lips turning that blasted hue of purple. had to call maintenance to turn down my air, drank lots of hot tea, and drove home with the windows down, the hot air thawing my face.
