water

as an average american, i use 100-176 gallons of water at home each day.  the average african family uses 5 gallons of water.

as an average american, i push a button and immediately my refrigerator shoots out cool water. the average african woman or child walks six hours to collect water.  this from a polluted puddle infested with parasites that breed diseases under the baking sun.

as an average american, i eschew a clear glass of water if there is crud on the cup.  the average african child quenches his thirst with muddy water.  clean water is unthinkable.

what entitles me to such abundant access?  to water balloon fights, car washes, and my family's monthly delivery of poland springs?  gudiel and primitive deserve the same.
