it was gut-wrenching and anxiety-ridden. on hand were pages of notes with the expectation of possible computer malfunctions, sporadic phone line connections, or even my own incompetence. oddly, all this was quite exhilarating. only in retrospect, of course.
a couple things nora ephron wishes she had known and so what i now know:
- the plane is not going to crash.
- anything you think is wrong with your body at the age of 35 you will be nostalgic for at the age of 45.
- if friends ask you to be their child's guardian in case they die in a plane crash, you can say no.
